Sürdürülebilirlik ve enerji dönüşümü, günümüzün ekonomik yapısında kritik öneme sahip iki kavram olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Özellikle Endüstri 4.0 ile başlayan Enerji 4.0 dönüşümü çerçevesinde, yenilikçi teknolojilerin entegrasyonu, enerji verimliliğini artırmak ve çevresel etkileri minimize etmek amacıyla önemli fırsatlar sunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, sürdürülebilir enerji politikalarının oluşturulması, yalnızca çevresel yarar saklamakla kalmaz, aynı zamanda ekonomik büyümenin ve rekabetin de temel unsurlarını oluşturur. Yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarına yapılan yatırımlar, hem ulusal hem de uluslararası düzeyde ekonomik kalkınma hedefleri ile örtüşmektedir. Bu noktada, enerji verimliliği ve çevrenin korunması gibi unsurların ekonomik modeller içerisinde nasıl yansıtıldığı, modern ekonomik teorilerin ve uygulamaların yeniden gözden geçirilmesini gerektirir. Bu çalışma, sürdürülebilir enerji sistemlerinin ekonomik boyutlarını ele alarak, ekonomik perspektiften enerji çalışmalarının ve sürdürülebilirliğin nasıl güçlendirilebileceğine dair derinlemesine bir analiz sunmayı amaçlamaktadır.
