Yayın Hakkında
This abstract book presents the scientific contributions delivered at the 10th National Catalysis Congress (NCC10) and provides an overview of current research progress in catalysis, materials science, and chemical engineering. The collected works demonstrate a strong interdisciplinary character, integrating experimental investigations with theoretical and computational methodologies to address pressing challenges in energy, environmental sustainability, and industrial chemical technologies. A substantial number of studies focus on the development and optimization of heterogeneous catalytic systems for reactions of both fundamental and technological importance, including methane conversion, ammonia synthesis, hydrogen production, hydrocarbon reforming, and sulfur-containing compound decomposition. Emphasis is placed on the influence of catalyst composition, surface properties, nanostructure, and synthesis strategies on catalytic performance, with particular attention to activity, selectivity, and operational stability. The abstract book also highlights significant advances in the design and application of nanostructured and hybrid materials, such as metal nanoparticles, metal–organic frameworks, graphene-based architectures, and biomass-derived carbon materials. These functional materials are investigated for a wide range of applications, including photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, chemical sensing, and energy storage. Several contributions underline the importance of sustainable and green synthesis approaches, demonstrating the effective utilization of renewable and waste-derived resources. In addition, computational studies employing density functional theory, ab initio molecular dynamics, and Monte Carlo simulations provide molecular-level insights into catalytic mechanisms, surface interactions, and reaction pathways. These theoretical approaches complement experimental findings and contribute to the rational design of advanced catalytic materials. Furthermore, research on electrochemical and energy-related technologies, such as supercapacitors, microbial fuel cells, and electrochemical sensors, as well as environmentally relevant applications including CO₂ utilization and pollutant degradation, reflects the broad scope and societal relevance of the contributions presented. Overall, this abstract book offers a coherent and comprehensive representation of the scientific work presented at NCC10, serving as a valuable resource for researchers from both academia and industry.
